I’m excited to announce I will be teaching at a photography conference on Amelia Island in Florida called Click Away in February 2018! I will be presenting at 3 separate days/times, covering 2 different topics.
The Value of Self-Portraits and How to Create Them
Sat, Feb 17, 2pm
Those of you who have been following me for a little while know that I’ve been on an #EmbracingSelf journey. While on this journey, self-portrait work has played a significant role and has become a topic I am passionate about. While allowing me to learn and grown in my photography skills, it has also allowed me to be able to connect with my clients in a more authentic way. However, the value of self-portrait work extends beyond even those two major benefits, it’s work that if done now, can have an impact on our culture now and future generations.
Creative Shootout: Artistic Portrait Shoot with Real People
Fri, Feb 16, 2pm & Sun, Feb 18, 1pm
One of my favorite things is to connect with local photographers. I frequently attend local meet ups where photographers meet each other, socialize, and shoot together. In addition, I love to coordinate/host creative/artistic shoots for myself and other like-minded photographers to create and shoot more creativity, utilizing less-traditional shooting methods and techniques in order to create more artistic portraits and art pieces. I am excited to be able to lead this creative shootout, twice, for participants of all skill levels at the conference.
Two last things…
1) I’m curious! Are you attending Click Away 2018? Comment below if you’re going! I'd love to keep an eye out for you and meet you!
2) For the creative shootout, I’m looking for real people to pose for me for the shoot out! If you, or someone you know of who lives in Florida would be interested, shoot me a comment or send me an email!
