Personal Branding with Charcoal Artist Tera {Portland, OR}

Personal Art Branding Session

Branding images serve as a critical component of establishing a visual identity for a business or individual. In today's digital age, these images find application across a multitude of platforms, contributing to brand recognition, storytelling, and audience engagement.

Tera asked me to photograph her in her element while creating art using charcoal and also to capture a simple blank canvas as well so that she could superimpose her previous drawings on them as well. But with all her supplies out and ready to go, she couldn’t help but start another piece and we capture the beginning stages of that new piece as well.

Together, we explored ways to showcase her process and what a typical space looks like while she’s creating it. Tera's passion for charcoal art is a deep expression of her creativity and emotions. Working with her was a reminder of how art has the power to not only speak to the artist's soul but also resonate with those who experience it. Tera's charcoal art was not just about creating beauty on paper; it was about creating connections and stirring emotions—a true reflection of her artistic essence.

In the delicate curve of fingers, the strength in a firm grip, or the graceful poise of a hand at rest, I find a world of narrative waiting to be unveiled.

There is an unsung poetry in the way hands can convey emotions, stories, and character without uttering a single word. Each line, scar, callus, and wrinkle speaks volumes about a person's journey, their toils, triumphs, and vulnerabilities.

The branding images I created for Tera serve as versatile tools that enrich the storytelling and visual representation of her brand across various platforms. By strategically leveraging these visuals, Tera can forge a strong connection with her audience, drive brand recognition, and establish a memorable identity.
